We are a Disney loving house all year long. It’s pretty obvious when you come by our house, or talk to us, or ask where we’ve been on vacation… Sorry not sorry. For us, Disney is part of our lives. Even if it’s not that serious for you, this Mickey wreath would be an adorable addition to your front door.
This is something you can do together as a family or if your kids are a bit older, they could put this wreath together on their own. It would also make a really great gift idea if you’ve got a Disney lover in your life.

Assembling Your Mickey Wreath
Once you’ve gotten everything you need to assemble your Mickey wreath, it’s time to get started putting everything together.
Starting with the large wreath, tie the end of the garland to the back of the frame and start wrapping it around the frame. Keep going until you can’t see the frame any more. If you wrap the garland around the frame more tightly, the wreath will look more full. Once you’ve reached the end, tie the end of the garland to the frame. Do the same thing with the two smaller wreath frames.
After you have all three frames wrapped in garland, put them all face down. Arrange the frames so the smaller frames are on top of the larger frame to look like Mickey’s ears. When you have the smaller frames where you’d like them, use a zip tie to secure them together. Before securing the zip tie, move the garland out of the way. After you’ve tightened the zip tie, move the garland back in place to help hide the zip ties holding the frames together.
When you have both ears secured to the larger frame, flip it over to rearrange and fluff the garland as needed. If you’re going to add a bow, slip the ties through the garland and secure it on the back. Use zip ties if your bow doesn’t have a tie on the back of it.
You can switch out the bows to go with the different seasons and holidays. If you’d rather have your wreath with a little more “natural” look, you could also wrap the frames in greenery or vines. You can also use lightened garland to add a little glow to your wreath.

- Red Christmas bow
- Zip ties
- Optional: ribbon
Tools
- Scissors or clips
Instructions
Tie one end of the garland onto the large wreath form.
Wrap garland around the wreath form until the form is no longer showing. (The tighter you wrap, the more full it looks)
Tie the end of the garland to the wreath form, so it does not unwrap.
Repeat the process with an 8-inch form.
Turn wreath forms face down. The flat back should be facing up.
Take one 8 inch wreath and one zip tie. Scoot the garland over in the large wreath to expose the form. Slip the zip tie around the middle bar of the form.
Take an 8-inch wreath and scoot the garland over to expose the wreath form. Using the zip tie on the large wreath wrap it around the 8-inch form and cinch.
Cover the zip tie by scooting the garland back. It will mask the zip tie.
Repeat with the second 8-inch wreath form about 6 inches from the first.
If your bow has a twist tie on the back, you can slip it through the garland. Alternatively, you can zip tie it to the wreath form.
Notes
Change out the bow to use this wreath during any season or for any holiday.
Use greenery or vines if you'd prefer to not use garland.
Get lighted garland if you want to add a little glow to your wreath.
