Easy Bake and Take Brownies with a Twist | Always Moving Mommy | Brownies are delicious on their own, but with these add ins, they'll be gone in no time

One thing I’ve always got in my pantry is brownie mix.  My kids are huge brownie fans and every now and again I surprise them.  Brownies are a fan favorite and I wanted to share some simple ways to spice them up next time you want (or have) to make them.

Mix

Starting with the mix, you can put a spin on your brownies.  From fudge to milk chocolate to dark chocolate, you can start with whatever base for your other things you’d like to add in.  Be sure to follow the directions on the package for them to turn out as expected.

Chips

Head down the baking aisle at your local grocery store and take a peek at the different types of baking chips they’ve got.  Of course chocolate chips are the easiest to mix in, consider peanut butter or butterscotch chips too.  Even white chocolate chips would be yummy.  You can mix the chips into the batter itself or sprinkle them on top of the batter after you’ve put it into the pan.

Candy Bars

Grab your favorite candy bars and add them to the batter.  Before you add them, cut them into bite sized pieces and mix them into the batter.  Mixing them in will save them from burning if you just sprinkled them on top of the batter.   If you’re not comfortable cutting candy bars up, grab a bag of bite sized candy and use those instead.

Nuts

A little texture in your brownies can make them even more yummy.  Your local grocery store’s baking aisle will have a selection of nuts for you to chose from.  Cut them yourself or purchase them already cut up if it’s easier for you.

Fillings

Using a chocolate covered candy can create a filling effect in your brownies.  Pour half of your brownie batter into the pan, layer in your candy, then cover with the remaining batter.  Candies like peppermint patties or peanut butter cups are great for this.  Marshmallows or caramel would also work great for this.

Transporting

Make your brownies in a pan that you can put a lid on or aluminum foil on and take with you.  Just be sure you’ve labeled your pan (and lid if you take one) so you get it back at the end of the event.  You can also cut them at home and put them on a cute platter to take too.

What do you like to add to your brownies to make them even more delicious?
