School’s almost out for the summer. While that might mean more time with the kids, it also means you’ll have not only your kids to eat you out of house and home, but the rest of the neighborhood kids to help too. Even if they wind up at your house most nights after school, having them over all day during summer vacation will drastically increase the amount of food they’ll consume while visiting. You’ll also have an endless list of places to be and things to do if your summer vacation looks anything like ours does. And that gets expensive. Fast. I don’t always have time to clip coupons before I head off to the store, but Groupon Coupons are electronic and save you the hassle of not only clipping paper coupons (and having to remember to give them to the person at the check out line…) but can also save you from actually having to gather the children and take them into a store. That’s right – you can use your Groupon Coupons electronically!
Clothes
Before you throw in the towel when you realize the kids need new summer clothes, check out Carters! They’ve been a favorite brand of ours for years and my youngest loved wearing their clothes because he believes (yup still to this day…I’m not going to be the one to tell him) that the store was named after him. I love that the clothes are not only adorable but they hold up incredibly well. With coupons and sales, you can get a great deal on play clothes or even more fancy pieces for that summer graduation or wedding you’ve got to attend.
One Stop Shopping
With graduations, weddings, and Father’s Day all happening, your list of gifts needed is probably closer to a Christmas list at this point. Stores that offer one stop shopping like Kohls and Target are fabulous. Check things out on line before you hit the store so you’ve got an idea of what you’re looking for to make your shopping trip as quick and painless as possible. If you don’t have a store near you, you can always shop on line and use the discount codes on your order.
Entertaining
Summer means cooking out and having people over. I spend way more of my life than I care to admit at Target and you’ll find all you need for summer entertaining – from last minute paper products to full on fancy stuff – in the store and online. Walmart will also have your grocery needs as well as supplies for your get together without breaking the bank.
Learning
Do your kids have summer reading lists too?? Barnes and Noble usually has the books we need to get that have to be read during summer vacation and it’s one of my most favorite places to spend an afternoon – even if the kids are in tow. Books make an awesome gift too – if you’re not sure exactly what the recipient would like, consider a journal or activity book. Everyone writes about something or needs a bit of a distraction every now and again.
