What’s Ipsy?
Ipsy’s a monthly subscription box. For $10 you get five new beauty products each month to try. When you register you’ll be asked to set up your profile. Don’t skip this step!! Take the time to fill it out completely and accurately. This is how the folks at Ipsy use to select the items for your Glam Bag each month. You are encouraged to review your items each month to give Ipsy a better idea of what you like and don’t like to make sure that future bags are a good fit for your likes and needs. Feel like telling the world what you think? You’ve got that option too. Each review gives you the option to share it on Facebook and Twitter once you’ve completed your review so if you find something great (or not so great) you don’t have to keep it to yourself.

What’d We Think?
Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 primer – I really like this stuff. Maybe it’s all in my head but it does seem to help reduce drying time. I put it on after a shower before I dry and straighten my hair and it seems to go more quickly and dry more evenly. This bottle is the perfect size too – great to throw in your bag to take with you while traveling.
tarte cosmetics tarteist quick dry matte lip paint in delish – my job keeps me in front of people for hours on end. I don’t have time to be worrying about reapplying lipstick and I’ve been looking for something that will stay for hours without coming off on my glass of water all day long. This is the answer to that. It goes on quickly and dries almost instantly. One tip – if it smears or is somewhere you don’t want it, wipe it off right away. As soon as it dries, it’s trickier to remove. My experience has been great so far. It doesn’t dry out my lips and stays on for about six to eight hours at a time. It’s a great base to put on in the morning and reapply a tinted chapstick or lip gloss during the day if needed.
Elizabeth Mott blending brush – I’m not a big makeup person so all the brushes kind of confuse me. This brush is small and light weight so it seems like it would work well.
ModelCo Eye Define retractable crayon liner – my normal makeup routine consists of some eye shadow, eye liner and mascara so I was excited to get this. The tip is very pointy so it makes a really fine line when applying. I also like that it’s retractable so you can just twist it instead of carrying around a pencil sharpener when you need more liner.
Doucce Freematic eye shadow in Marissa – my “go to” eye shadow color is in the brown family so this was a good fit for me to stay in my comfort zone.
Overall I think this bag was a good fit for me. It was a good way to try some new products and new brands. I’m excited to see what’s in my bag in April! Have you tried any of these products? Do you have an Ipsy subscription?
