Sometimes it can be tough to find a game that kids of all ages can play together.  This fun Go Caroling printable Christmas card game is exactly what you’re looking for. Because it’s a simple matching game, older siblings can play with the younger kids while the adults have a few minutes of conversation.

Prepping Your Game

Print out your Go Caroling Christmas card game.  It will work fine on regular paper. Card stock will help make the cards more sturdy and make sure the other players can’t see through them.  You can also glue the cards onto construction paper or card stock if you’d like to.  Make the game a little more challenging or to allow more players and print off more than one set of cards.

Playing the Game

Just like Go Fish, the goal is to find another player with a match to the card you’re looking for. Players take turns asking if another player has a match to their card. If not, the player is told to “go caroling” and draw for a match to their card. The player with the most matches at the end of the game is the winner.

Gift the Game

This game would make a great stocking stuffer too!  Print out a set of cards and the directions. You can put them into a zip top or cellophane bag to gift them.  For an extra special gift, include a fun coupon for a play date to play the game together at a later date.

Other Uses for the Cards

I always try to think outside the box and see what else I can use things for.  More bang for your buck right?  It’s no different with these cards.  You could also use the cards at gift tags during the holidays.  Add a special note to the back of them and attach them to your gift.  The cards would also make great labels for holiday containers when you’re packing up your holiday decorations.  If your kids are working on their writing, you could write the word at the top above the image and let your child write the word below the picture on the card.
