I love playing games with the kids that we can all play together. Because the boys are a few years older than their sister, finding a game the boys will want to play that isn’t too hard for their sister can be a challenge. This fun Roll a Tree Christmas game is one that we can all play because it’s nothing but luck of your roll to see who will win.
Getting Ready to Play
Make sure you print out your Roll a Tree Christmas game so it’s all ready to go when you want to play. If your kids want to help, let them help you cut out the different pieces of the game. Keep all the cutting fun for yourself if you’re going to surprise the kids with this game. You can print out the game pieces on regular copy paper. Printing them on card stock will make them a bit more sturdy. You can even laminate the trees and pieces to help them last even longer. In addition to the printable pieces, you’ll need to get some dice for the rolling part.
Playing the Game
Instructions are included in the printable too so don’t worry. Players take turns roll the dice and the number rolled is the piece that gets added to their Christmas tree. The first player to completely decorate their tree is the winner. You can make the game a little more exciting by adding your own twist to the rules to see who can add the most lights or ornaments to the tree first. Or the first person to roll a gift gets to pick an extra item for their tree. That can be fun if you’ve got some competitive kiddos (or adults).
