Looking for a fun craft for the kids to make? This wreath ornament is perfect for them! They can make it with whatever colors are their favorites and will look great on the Christmas tree.
Gather Your Materials
You won’t need much to make these cute wreath ornaments. Heck – you’ve probably already got pipe cleaners laying around!
- Pipe Cleaners (3 green, 1 red, 1 gold, 1 silver)
- Jute thread or ribbon
- Scissors
Make Your Wreath Ornament
Start out with the three green pipe cleaners. These will all be braided together. Your kiddo might need some help holding one end of the pipe cleaners while they’re braiding. Taping the end to the table might work for them too so the pipe cleaners don’t move around too much.
After you’ve got them braided together, bend them into a circle to look like a wreath.
Wrap the silver pipe cleaner around the wreath to look like garland. Do the same with the gold pipe cleaner.
Use the red pipe cleaner to make a bow. Trim your pipe cleaner if it’s a bit too long.
Take a little piece of the red pipe cleaner that got cut off when making the bow and use that to secure the bow to the wreath.
Using a piece of the twine or ribbon, make a loop to hang your wreath ornament from your tree. These would also be adorable on gifts.
