Complimentary Walt Disney World transportation is one of the perks of a Walt Disney World vacation. It all starts with Disney’s Magical Express motor coach. As soon as you land at the airport, skip the baggage claim and take the Magical Express to your resort. Your bags will magically appear in your room later in the day. While on Disney property, you never have to drive a car or pay for a ride if you don’t want to, but there are some areas that are better serviced than others. Here is a quick guide to your best Disney World transportation options wherever you are in the resort.

Disney World Transportation From the Magic Kingdom Area
The Magic Kingdom area includes hotels along the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Bay Lake area. on Bay Lake, you will find Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge with boat access to Magic Kingdom park. On the Seven Seas Lagoon, you will also find boat service from Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, and the Transportation Center. This is where the Magic Kingdom parking lot is. The Transportation Center also has a monorail station. A resort line stops at the Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, and the Contemporary. A separate line also goes to EPCOT. This resort area covers the best ground with quick complimentary transportation. The Contemporary is also only a five-minute walk from the Magic Kingdom and all destinations include complimentary bus service.
Disney World Transportation From the EPCOT Area
The next best resort area with complimentary transportation options is EPCOT. That’s because, in addition to the complimentary buses, there is a waterway connecting the deluxe resorts to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The boats used to transport guests around are called friendships. that’s not the only means of transportation either. the Disney Skyliner also stops at both parks and at the Riviera and Caribbean Beach. The Skyliner is new and services resorts that previously relied only on bus transportation. In addition to the transportation methods between the deluxe resorts near Epcot and the two theme parks, there are walking paths that take less time than driving would.
Disney World Transportation From the ESPN Wide World of Sports Area
The value resorts, Pop Century and Art of Animation share a Disney Skyliner station that travels to the Epcot resort area and provides routes to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To get anywhere else from these resorts, you will need a bus or paid mode of transportation like the Minnie Van.
Disney World Transportation from the Disney Springs Area
Disney Springs is a unique destination at Walt Disney World. There is an enormous bus hub like you would find at the theme parks, but there are no lines to the parks, only resort hotels. If you are staying in this area at Port Orleans, Saratoga Springs, or Old Key West, you have boat access to Disney Springs, but you will need to take the complimentary bus or paid mode of transportation like a Minnie Van to go anywhere else.
Minnie Vans, Uber and Taxis
Minnie Vans are powered by Lyft and operated by trained Disney cast members. It is more expensive than Uber, or a taxi, but it maintains the Disney Difference in service. Minnie Vans, Uber, and taxis are all valid options when you need to get somewhere quick if you don’t have access to boas, monorails, or the new Skyliner. Guests at the Animal Kingdom resort area are most likely to rely on any of these services.
