For the Star Wars fan, there is only one place to visit in Disney World to get your fix: Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The park has been a hub for everything Star Wars for years and now Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge offers the biggest most elaborate expansion since New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom. The best way to get there will one day be the Starliner they are building outside the park. Until then, hop on a Skyliner Gondola wrapped in your favorite Star Wars characters. While you are there don’t miss these 8 Star Wars experiences at Disney World.
Star Wars Launch Bay
The Animation Courtyard is home to The Disney Junior attraction and meet-and-greet location as well as Star Wars Launch Bay. In the Launch Bay you will have the experience of meeting an ally from the resistance, or Lord Vader This part of the park is still dedicated to the art of filmmaking, so don’t get hung up on timelines or immersion. There are cool sets and props to look at and Photopass is available for your character encounter as part of the Star Wars experience.
Star Tours
The thrilling Star Wars adventure from 1987 is back with continued adventures that include the prequel and sequel trilogy settings. The best part of this attraction is the Endor set outside with lifesize AT-ATs and plenty of fun photo backgrounds. The motion simulator attraction places you as a tourist on a rogue flight through various locales in the Star Wars galaxy. This Star Wars experience can get quite a long wait, especially during busier times of the year. You might want to use a FastPass+ reservation to get yourself a spot without spending hours in line.
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
Sign up for this as soon as you get into the park to make sure you have a return slot during the day for participation This is a show that involves children who register to train as Jedi. Adults must have the child present to register. If you don’t want to participate, you can still see the show during scheduled performances that happen outside the Star Tours attraction area.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
There is a lot for the sequel trilogy Star Wars fan to do at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. This is your gateway to Batuu and the Black Spire Outpost. The enormous new land includes a marketplace full of trinkets and exclusive Black Spire merchandise. Star Wars experiences and rides include:

- Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run
- Rise of the Resistance
You can also cross paths with some members of the Resistance or the First Order and grab a bite at some of the counter service locations for

Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away
This live-action Star Wars tribute show includes appearances by characters across the franchise from all of the trilogies. It focuses on Rey, BB8, Chewbacca, and Kylo Ren with appearances by Darth Maul and Darth Vader. Check your times guide or the My Disney Experience app for the times when the show will happen.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
This nighttime spectacular puts full use to projection mapping and transforms the Chinese theater into a giant cinema screen for art and sequences from the films including Solo: A Star Wars Story. lasers and pyrotechnics light up the sky as the stirring music from the films blasts you to a galaxy far far away. Make sure you find a spot early as the prime view spots all fill in well before the show actually starts.
Visa Cardmember Star Wars Character Experience
There is a special Star Wars experience exclusively for Visa cardmembers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This reward takes place as a character encounter with none other than the Imperial Dark Lord, Vader himself. You will need to have your card with you and show it to the Cast Member who is working at this experience. Your card shouldn’t be swiped or anything (there’s no charge for this card holder perk).
Backlot Express
If Batuu and the other shows and attractions in Disney’s Hollywood Studios weren’t enough for you, you can find Star Wars-inspired food and souvenirs at some of the counter service locations. Most notably, you can order the Tatooine hummus at the Backlot Express and have a drink in a souvenir stein to wash it down. There are lots of different things you can try, with most of them geared to a diners who are a bit more adventurous.
